Beauty 365 … Stories of Love and Life for Everyday

Lock-down journey Day 53…All rise for the last post!

Day 53 was May 11, the date all Victorians had been anticipating for a relaxation in restrictions and the day I decided to conclude my daily lock-down journey blog.

The time has come for me to resume some more of my work and family commitments, and I feel I can no longer balance these with my daily writing. In short, it's time for me to write less and live more!

I have blogged every single day for the last 52 days. I can't believe it!

I have learned a lot.

I have learnt that I have greater endurance than I thought. I have learnt that I am a decent writer. And I have learnt that with God, the Author of all beauty, truth and goodness, prompting me I will never be short of something to write about.

Thank you, dear reader, for reading and for your encouragement. It has been a privilege to write for you during these extraordinary days of lock-down. I have loved sharing my family life and faith with you. Amidst the struggles, this pandemic has certainly taught us all new ways of living and loving. I trust that God will help you embrace these lessons in your life after lock-down. I will continue to keep you in my daily prayer.

Thank you to my family for allowing me the time and space to write each day and for listening to my countless drafts and ideas. (A couple of times the kids threatened to write a counter blog to correct my supposed exaggerations. Thank you, children, for refraining!) Special thanks to those family members who took on the daily editing and proof reading. You polished my sometimes lacklustre writing. More recently, I have only had to pick up my phone to take a pic and the kids have asked, “Is this photo going to end up in the blog?!”

Particular thanks for riding your bike in a Christmas hat on Day 39, My Love.

Steve, Hannah, Georgia, Dom, Phoebe, Jerome and Ambrose, thank you for giving me a life worth writing about. You are the colour and spark that make my life beautiful!

(I will continue writing weekly for my blog, Beauty 365…Stories of Love and Life for Everyday.)
