Lock-down journey Day 15…Grey clouds with a silver lining.

Grey skies and grey moods on day 15 of our lock-down journey. The damp prevented too much outdoor activity and various personalities were beginning to feel a touch frustrated and hemmed-in, something we have largely avoided until now.

Don’t worry, I will spare you the grisly details of seven cranky people trapped together under one roof. Instead I will share a tale that gladdened my heart and gave me hope that all will be well.

My husband is the main bread winner in our family. A large part of his work involves presenting to school staffs and large groups of students, so as you can imagine, there have been a lot of cancellations and postponements of late, meaning a serious reduction in income.

During the week, we had news of yet another postponement: a school in Tassie wanting to change their booking from July 2020, to July 2021. When Steve confirmed that he was available, they immediately paid him in full, for the work that would not be undertaken for more than a year!

Half the time we have to chase clients for pay, even the work has been completed, so to be paid in full, over a year in advance? That is quite simply miraculous!!

Light shines in the darkness. I am so grateful for the lights, tiny or huge, that illuminate each day when I have eyes to see them.
