Beauty 365 … Stories of Love and Life for Everyday

Day two of lockdown and mixed emotions in our house! There are definitely things I am missing already, (I’ll save that for another day!), but other things that I am not missing at all!!

There was a day last week when I got into the car for 9 different trips… including Mass, several school runs, shopping, footy training, visiting a client and out to a meeting in the evening! Today I haven’t been in the car once!!! Not once!!!

I have not once longed for traffic jams, rude drivers, pressured timeframes, or tricky driving conditions, nor drivers who beep me because I am too slow. (Yes , I admit, I am a timid driver!)

So what did I do with all that extra time on my hands? Well I probably wasn’t as productive as I’d hoped, but I do have one beautiful thing to show for it………we made jam! Raspberry jam!! To be honest it was my university student daughter who steered and financed the project, but we all shared in the joy of it! And let me assure you, it looks and tastes incredible!!

In these lockdown days, I do hope to slow down and take time to be more creative. Stay tuned for progress reports…
