Beauty 365 … Stories of Love and Life for Everyday

Then and forever.

No, it's not our wedding anniversary. It's just that we went to a beautiful wedding yesterday, and weddings always make me reminisce about my own wedding, and my marriage. (Yes, that's us in the photo!)
I find weddings extraordinarily emotional. Such joyful occasions! It's the vows that get me thinking. Am I loving in sickness and in health, in good times and bad, for richer, for poorer....? Hmm, I want to be better! I am so grateful for my wonderful husband and the amazing 27 years we have been married. What will the future hold? Can't wait!!
It's funny, well, kind of, when people come into our house and stand in front of our wedding photo on the wall. "Oh wow, you look so young!!" I translate that to, "Oh gosh! How you've aged!!" But we do look young don't we? That's because we were young when we married, in our early twenties.
Similarly, our dear friends who married yesterday are young. They have been on a roller coaster ride in recent months; preparing for a wedding during a pandemic is not much fun, but they did it with such such grace and determination.
We wish them every joy and blessing as they embark on their beautiful life together.
